The Norwegian Seamen's Church in New York (Norwegian: ''Olav Vs kirke'', Olav V's Church) is serving Norwegian sailors, residents and visitors in a large area on the east coast of the United States. The church has been working in New York since 1878, and is in the present building from 1992 a well-established religious, social and cultural meeting point for Norwegians in America. The church is located in 317 East 52nd Street on the east side of Manhattan, New York City. The church is a part of Norwegian Church Abroad within the Church of Norway. == Activities == * Church services, mostly in Norwegian language * Work for children * Confirmation in the Lutheran church * Meetings for students, au pairs and other young people * Norwegian language courses The church visit the Norwegians on boats, at home, at work places and institutions.
